Pujalt is a municipality in the Anoia region belonging to Alta Segarra. The name derives from "puig alt", the hill where the town rests, at 773 m. Tall. The town grows in the sunny area of the Castillo de la Mota, which crowns the town.
The municipality of Pujalt, with an extension of 31.43 km², is in the western sector of the Calaf plateau, on the northern limit of the Anoia region with that of La Segarra and also on the limit of the province of Barcelona and of the bishopric of Vic. It extends over a remarkable high plain, a typical plateau, at an altitude of about 750 m, between Conejo, San Ramón and Estarás. The term is quite homogeneous in the Pujalt sector and its aggregates of Astor (Pujalt) and Vilamajor (Pujalt), and on the other hand it makes some strange exits to the Conill sector, practically surrounded by the term of Calonge de Segarra, and in the of the Guardia Pilosa, which reaches up to touching the houses of the town of Sant Martí Sesgueioles.
