Igualada is a city and municipality, capital of the region of Anoia, Catalonia. The municipality is about 55 km to the west of Barcelona, in the interior of Catalonia and extends to the left of the Anoia river, in the middle course.
The city of Igualada is located to the east of Anoia, at 315.8 meters above sea level, in the center of the erosion pit known as the Ódena basin. The municipality is bordered to the north and west by the district of Òdena, to the east by Vilanova del Camí and to the south by Anoia, which serves as a partition with the district of Santa Margarida de Montbui.
