Calaf is a town and municipality located to the north of the Anoia region. With 3,477 inhabitants (2017), it is the main population center of the Alta Segarra natural region. Regarding its extension, on the other hand, it is the fifth smallest municipality in the region. Calaf is located in the northeast of the Meseta de la Segarra, at an average altitude of 680 meters above sea level, surrounded by dry fields and oak groves.
