Argençola is a municipality in the region of l'Anoia located in the western part of the region. The toponym of the name proved d'Argenciola (11th century), diminutiu d'argentu. At the terme there are the ruins of the castle of Argençola and the Church of Sant Llorenç, the peus of the castle of Argençola, blessed in 1891, replacing the previous parish church, which was documented from 1032 and located a mica more valid than the current one. It is going to serve the stones of the castle in the construction of the new temple, of neoclassical invoice, with a bell tower of baroque tradition. Inside is preserved various discoidal steles of the ancient cement.
